Everyday a little more slime seems to ooze out of the capitol. Since pre-filling for the 88th legislative session started, we’ve seen legislators filing bills to erase LGBTQ+ books, force young people back in the closet, and even cutting off access to life-saving health care. We need a hero. True political power rests with the people—it’s time we show Texas politicians how powerful we are.
The difference between a bystander and a champion is who shows up.
Champions will become part of our Rapid Response team and receive calls to action when quick mobilization to the Capitol is necessary to fight for LGBTQ+ equality. If your schedule is flexible, you have a passion for LGBTQ+ advocacy, and you are able to mobilize quickly at the Capitol, you’re the Champion we’re looking for!
