The Texas Association of Business
The Vanguard Award is given annually to an exemplary business who has demonstrated a commitment to LGBT equality in the state of Texas through fair employee policy and community advocacy. Equality Texas will present the Vanguard Award to the Texas Association of Business for taking a strong stand against “license to discriminate” legislation that would harm LGBT Texans and Texas’ reputation as a state that is “open for business.” The Texas Association of Business, a proud conservative business association, recognizes that laws that hurt LGBT Texans hurt Texas’ business climate and make the state look unwelcoming to the top talent our businesses look to recruit.
