Billy Dorsey, a grammy winning singer and pastor wrote and released a new song in memory of the victims of the Pulse nightclub massacre. Billy is active in ministry as a volunteer outreach worship leader at Lakewood Church (Joel Osteen), has spoken on a panel at The Potter’s House (Bishop TD Jakes), and has appeared on Bobby Jones Gospel (Centric) and Praise the Lord (TBN-Houston).
Billy wrote the song to start a dialog with the African American and Christian community after he met Kimberly Shappley of Houston, who also attends Lakewood Church, and her transgender daughter Kai. He is using his platform to start a dialog for a better understanding between the church and the LGBTQ community.
He is performing his song tonight at 7 p.m. at The Montrose Center in Houston to remember all those who died one year ago in a senseless act of violence. Equality Texas is sharing the video to help start conversations with conservatives and Christians as we work tirelessly to educate Texans and reduce discrimination against the LGBTQ community in our state.

Help us fight for a better Texas for all Texans!

All of the work we do would not be possible without the support of our community and allies.

Thanks!
