SCOTUS, Marriage, and Changes of Heart

This is it, Friend: This could be the year that same-sex couples nationwide win the freedom to marry!

Moments ago, the United States Supreme Court granted review of the freedom to marry, and a positive ruling could bring marriage to same-sex couples in Texas as soon as June.

You’ve worked so hard this year to move marriage forward—and we can’t stop now: As the Supreme Court weighs its decisions, it’s more important than ever that they see how much the country has changed, and how the entire country is ready for the freedom to marry nationwide.

That’s why we’re looking to amplify stories of real Texans who have had a change of heart in recent years—people who may not have supported the freedom to marry in 2005, when the anti-family amendment passed at the ballot, but who now understand why marriage matters to same-sex couples.

Have you or someone you know grown to support marriage for same-sex couples, even if they were opposed months or years ago?  If so, share the story with us right here.

Hearing these “journey” stories of people who have grown to realize that there is no substitute for the freedom to marry is of such great value in these weeks where we as a movement must make the case to the U.S. Supreme Court that it’s time for the freedom to marry.

Take a look and a minute to consider sharing how you or someone you know has progressed forward on this issue. We’d love to hear from you.

It’s shaping up to be a historic year, Friend—now, let’s do everything we can to make it so.
