Kimberly Shappley is cisgender and an evangelical christian Republican. When Kimberly was confronted with the possibility of a transgender child she turned to corporal punishment. Fortunately, her daughter’s spirit would not be broken and Kimberly eventually transitioned with her. With Kimberly’s support Kai started socially transitioning at the age of four.
Kimberly is a sought after speaker as a Christian parent of a transgender child. She is media trained and a subject matter expert who has helped educate elected officials from school boards to state officials.
She is the mother of 7 living in Pearland, Texas.
