“It is disappointing to see the NCAA back away from its commitment to oppose discrimination. HB142 was not a full repeal of HB2, and it allows discrimination to continue in North Carolina. Preventing municipalities from enacting ordinances to protect basic civil rights does in fact send a message that North Carolina is OK with permitting discrimination.”
